Is retirement on the horizon? We are delighted to introduce the new Retirement Planning Service available to all members including civilian support staff, whether serving or retired. A series of Retirement Planning Seminars have been confirmed for the coming months. They are completely free although confirmation of attendance in advance is requested. Attending a seminar is typically the first and most important step to take to assess your financial needs and make appropriate financial decisions. Some of the subjects covered include:- Income options in retirement How will you maintain your standard of living in retirement? Current market conditions and investment security Investment options including capital secure solutions Taxation Income tax concerns and Inheritance Tax / Capital Gains Tax mitigation Pension Provision What sort of pension should you expect when you retire? Mortgage options What factors should you consider in relation to your mortgage and associated policies? Protection Needs How much life cover will you need to protect your family in retirement? With the economic crisis and recent budget announcement it is more important than ever to start planning for retirement.
