The County Sports & Social Club are pleased to announce the purchase of a brand new £24,000 17 Seat Ford Transit Minibus. This is the first time the Club have owned their own transport and with the New Year in sight this could not be a better time for members across the force to think about organising a group activity for members of their office, department, Section or Division.
Says County Club secretary Steve, "We have been saving up for this facility for some years now. The 'rainy day' has now come and this purchase is an excellent way to use Club funds. The bus can be used by any member of the Club across the force, free of charge. It has to be a great way to assist our staff in organising group social activities and would inevitably add to raising moral and team camaraderie among our colleagues".
The bus will also be used to transport players to annual Police Sport UK events. This will save a around £5000 a year on the rental of commercial hire cars and buses. So the new minibus has to be a 'win win' facility!
Briefly the conditions and terms of use are as follows:-
Available free of charge for use by any Club Member
For organised Police Sport and Social group activities
All users must be member of a Divisional Sports & Social Club
Honorary members (eg. Spouse/partner/child of a member) are also included Fuel must be provided by the users
Nominated driver must have a DVLA D1 permit and be competent to drive a LWB minibus
The vehicle will be based at HQ Hutton
Use will be subject to the detailed given terms and conditions outlined in the booking form
