Athletics & Running Sports Section PAA 10 Mile Road Race Championships 2000 Wednesday September 2000 Hosted by the Metropolitan Police - Kingston-upon-Thames A fifteen strong team journeyed to London to run in these annual championships. There were a number of excellent debut 10 performances from Steve Bycroft, Dave Winn, Brian Shepherd and Carl Wood. An interesting two-lap flat course along the banks of the Thames made this race enjoyable, topped with fine, sunny weather. An excellent evening of good food and entertainment was provided by the hosts at the Metropolitan Police Sports Club at Imber Court. The Lancashire team were 21st. Only two ladies took part from Lancashire insufficient in numbers to form a team.
