PSUK 10k Race Walk Championships 2006
Birmingham - Tuesday 23 May 2006
This is a new event to the Section Calendar. A four strong team took part from the Lancashire force with debut performances from Mr Bill Murray, Graham Slater and Sue Harrison (HQ).
The race was staged in Cannon Hill Park close to the West Midlands Police Tally Ho Centre. The race started in bright sunshine and traversed a scenic and fairly flat four lap course around the park. During the race there was occasional heavy showers but this did not deter the Lancashire race walkers who all finished with pb performances!
Lancashire were second team and were presented medals for their efforts at a gathering in the Tally Ho Club after the race.
