Fancy a go at Gliding?
Bowland Forest Gliding Club based at Chipping offer visitors the chance to fly on selected dates throughout the summer, weather permitting. The cost is 25.00 per person and for that you will fly in a K13 two-seater glider. If the weather is good, you can expect a flight of around half an hour soaring along Parlick and the Bleasdale Fells. If conditions are not ideal you will fly twice but the flights will be shorter. In addition to your flight on the visitor’s night, the fee buys a months membership to the club, so any time within the next 28 days you can return to the club and fly at club rates. Contact Russ Weaver.
York Races
This years York Races Trip will be on Wednesday 3rd September 2003. We are also running a York Shopping Trip on the same day. More information to follow in due course.

Do you want to organise or arrange a club facility or activity?
This is your club so why not come forward and arrange something!
Any member of the club can come forward and arrange or request a new facility or activity. It may be a sports activity or a social outing. Funding will be provided subject to finance and committee approval. Committee meetings are held during the year so full approval can normally be sought within a fairly short period of time.

Keen, competitive sports person - or just want to get fit?
The County Club have 25 sports sections representing some 40 sports. The aims are to recruit new members to compete, irrespective of standard. As long as you can play the sport at a reasonable level then there is probably a place in the team for you.
Some sports sections may even be happy to take on complete beginners, so long as you have a basic level of fitness or ability to compete then the only way is up!!
Take a look at the selection of sports on offer....
