Shopping Trip Newcastle Metro Centre

I am pleased to announce that the County Sports & Social Club are organising and part funding a coach trip to the Aviva Athletics Grand Prix at Gateshead.
The trip also offers an alternative option for members who may want to spend an afternoon shopping at the Newcastle Metro Centre.
We are sure this trip will appeal to many of our members who may want to experience a world class Athletics event close up, or to some who may simply want to spend an afternoon shopping. We hope to organise two 50 seat coaches departing from Police HQ and picking up in North County and East County.
Aviva Athletics Grand Prix
Packing out the Gateshead International Stadium, the public will be in for another star studded event at the Aviva British Grand Prix to finish off the UK Athletics major events season. August bank holiday will be a superb day out for the family who will get a first look at the returning champions as they head back from the World Championships just one week earlier.
Metro Centre Option
This is an ideal alternative for those who want to have a shopping experience under one roof at the huge Metro Shopping Centre.
Cost?
Coach and Athletics Event - £12.00
Coach and Metro Centre Only - £5.00
Athletics Stadium Seats
Our stadium seats are in Area 3 and 4 in the uncovered South Stand close to the trackside and finish line. There are warm-up events starting at 12.30pm with the British Athletics taking place from 1.45pm to 5.30pm.
Who can go?
Full members of any of the seven Sports & Social Clubs A, B, C, D, E, F, HQ/G/H Divisions
Spouse/Partner living with full member
Children living with full member
Honorary members Retired members/Special Constabulary/Community Volunteers
Coach Pick-Ups?
Coach A HQ/North
Coach B HQ/East
We hope these departure points will suit a majority of our members across the county where suitable parking is available combined with ease of pick-up/set-down. Additional/convenient pick-up points may be considered depending on numbers.
Coaches will return around 6pm arriving in Lancashire around 9pm. The precise arrangements will be circulated nearer the time.
Please Note: We hope that we will be able to fill two coaches and therefore fulfil pick-up points in both the North and East. Should the trip not be fully subscribed then we may have to have just one coach picking up at HQ and either North or East County.
How to book your seats?
Simply email Steve Broadbent with the number of seats required - athletics/shopping, passenger names and your preferred pick-up point.
