Organised by the County Club

2002 marks the 50th anniversary of the Lancashire Constabulary Sports and Social Club and to celebrate this golden jubilee we have arranged a trip to the games.

50 premium seats have been booked in the Manchester Stadium for the evening of Friday 26 July when the following events will be staged:

Women's Heats/Finals

Shot Put

Hammer

200 metres

400 metres

5000 metres

Men's Heats/Finals

Triple Jump

3000 metres steeplechase

400 metres

10,000 metres

A coach will leave Police Headquarters about 3pm and will return at 10.30pm where a social function is planned at the HQ Club.

This trip is organised by the County Club and just 7 tickets will be available to each of the police divisions.

Due to the likely popularity of this function, tickets will be only on sale to full club members on a first come first served basis. A reserve list will also be made that may include honorary members in the event of cancelled seats becoming available nearer the time.

The County Club will pay 50% of the cost and the tickets will be priced at just £16 per person.

To reserve your seat contact PC Steve Broadbent by e-mail. Do not send any money until your reservation is confirmed.
