Caption Competition No.1 - Win 10 monthly club lottery chances for a year - 12 x 10 draws worth £72

 

The Club are giving away 10 free monthly lottery chances for a year - worth £72. Simply send in an appropriate caption for this photograph taken at the start of the 2005 British Police Fell Championships held in the Howgills, Cumbria.

 

 

The picture shows Central Division runner, PC Mike Riley (in red/blue vest) making good progress at the start to later come 5th overall in the race. Mike and the other police runners are watched closely by County border collie, Cass.

We had a total of 21 entries all of which were very fitting and of an excellent standard. The competition was judged by Lancaster Guardian Newspaper news editor Louise Bryning who is a dog lover and knows Cass personally. Thank you to Louise for judging our competition.

Competition Rules

 

Competition - Open to Lancashire Constabulary Sports & Social Club members only.

Closing date extended to 21 August 2006.

You may enter as many captions as you wish.

All captions will be judged by the Club management committee.

The lucky winner will be informed by e-mail in early July 2006

The lottery chances and membership subscription will commence on 1 September 2006 and expire on 31 August 2007

On 30 June 2007 the free lottery chances and membership will expire - however, the prize winners will be given the opportunity to continue paid subscriptions if they decide to.
