Club Excursion to 'The Eden Project'

8 to 11 March 2002

organised by

Mrs Jean Oatridge - Headquarters Sports & Social Club

Due to popularity of this trip a 2nd coach is being considered. The excursion was fully booked but there is a waiting list of about a dozen people.

If anyone is interested in joining us on this trip they should contact me as soon as possible and I will look into the possibility of running a second coach?

There have been quite a few articles in the national press about the Eden Project and it has won many awards both for the architecture and the concept so it promises to be a most enjoyable place to visit.

The trip is a four day, three night stay, on a bed and breakfast basis, staying at the 4* Plymouth Hoe Moat House Hotel. The hotel boasts its own Health and Fitness Club, with swimming pool, sauna, jacuzzi and a small gym which is at our disposal during our stay. The hotel is only minutes from the town centre with panoramic views across Plymouth’s famous harbour. The hotel has restaurants and bars which will, of course, be open should you not wish to go into Plymouth to eat.

Also included in the cost of the trip are entrance tickets to the famous Eden Project on the Saturday, all executive coach travel from and to Headquarters and a trip in the surrounding countryside on the Sunday if we so wish. We will probably leave Headquarters at 9am stopping somewhere en route for lunch reversing the journey on the Monday and aiming to arrive back at Headquarters early evening.

The break will cost £120 per member and the same for one guest. Other guests and non-members are more than welcome to join us at a cost of £130 each.

If you would like to join us could I please have a £10 deposit per person with the remainder due by 10th January 2002. Cheques to be made payable to HQ Sports & Social Club.
