On 6 August 2006 an internal open day was staged at Police Headquarters featuring displays from many police departments. Around 3000 members of staff, families and guests from the area surrounding Hutton Hall attended the event.
The Sports and Social Club felt it an opportune time to promote the Club to those attending the event. A display was on show demonstrating the facilities on offer from the Club at Divisional and County levels including many pictures of our sports men and women in action.
To promote the Club and our Website www.policesport.net there were 500 promotional police officer 'bugs' to give away along with copies of our latest "Off-Duty" Club magazine.
The stand attracted much of interest and was manned for the duration of the event on a very warm summer afternoon by County Club Secretary PC Steven Broadbent.
