On 1 July 2007 an public open day was
staged at Police Headquarters featuring displays from many police
departments. Around 5000 members of staff, families and members of the
public attended the event.
The Sports and Social Club felt it an
opportune time to promote the Club to those attending the event. A display
was on show demonstrating the facilities on offer from the Club at
Divisional and County levels including many pictures of our sports men and
women in action.

www.policesport.net there were
promotional police officer 'bugs' to give away along with copies of our
latest "Off-Duty" Club magazine and copies of our 2007 diary.
The stand attracted much of interest and was
manned for the duration of the event on a very warm summer afternoon by
active County Sport members Ms Sue Harrison and PC Steven Broadbent.
