This is my first
publication this year, an updated list of trips will be published in May
with up to date information on the trips that have “to be confirmed” next to
them. It will also include any additional trips that have not yet been
arranged.

Dublin for St Patrick’s Day - 16 March (Sorry this trip is full).
Come and join the fun
in Dublin and be part of the biggest St Patrick's Day celebration in the
Emerald Isle. We are staying right in the heart of the capital, so you will
be close by to all the attractions.
We will be leaving
Headquarters at 9am travelling to Holyhead for the 3pm ferry to Dublin from
there we will travel to our hotel the Croke Park Hotel. We are booked on the
return ferry at 9.05 on Sunday 19th March and we should arrive back at
Holyhead at around 12 noon. The Croke Park Hotel is a 4 star hotel located
on Croke Park Stadium, Jones's Road just 1.5km from Dublin City Centre. The
Croke Park Hotel is within easy walking distance of the main shopping areas
and attractions. The hotel has everything you will need including a fully
fitted gym, to find out more log on the www.jurys.com. The cost of this trip
is £159.00 per person for members and one guest. Non-members and additional
guest are welcome at a cost of £179.00 per person. There is also a single
supplement charge of £60.00.
To secure your place
I will need a deposit of £20.00 per person as soon as possible (deposits are
non-refundable unless the trip is cancelled) and the balance to be paid by
28th January 2006.
Manchester’s Comedy Store Friday 14th April 2006
I am pleased to offer
a trip to The Comedy Store Manchester on Friday 14th April 2006. The event
is billed as “Best Stand up” with the following comedians: MC Dave Williams,
Andy Askins, Junior Simpson, Andre Vincent and Jo Enright.
We will be leaving
Headquarters at 5.30pm arriving at the Comedy Store, Deansgate Manchester.
At 6.30pm we will have a two course meal and then at 7.30pm the artists
start. We should be back at Headquarters by 11.45pm.
The cost of this trip
is £30.00 per person for members and one guest. Non members are welcome to
join us at a cost of £35.00 per person. To secure your place I will need a
deposit of £5.00 per person and the full amount before the 14th March 2006.
A day a Haydock Races 27th May 2006
Come along on our
trip to Haydock Races. We will be leaving Headquarters at 11am which will
get us to Haydock in good time to make the most of our day. The first race
is at 1.50pm.
We will be located in
the Tattersalls Enclosure, which offers an excellent view of racing and
access to the Parade Ring and enclosure. This enclosure also includes access
to three raised viewing areas (some of which is seated), in addition to
several rooms with a wide range of refreshment outlets. Betting is conducted
with the Tote or the bookmakers directly in the front of the stands.
The cost of this trip
is £18.00 per person for members and one guest. Non members are welcome to
join us at a cost of £23.00 per person. To reserve your tickets please
return the booking slip along with a deposit of £5 per person (deposits are
non-refundable) and the remainder of the balance by the 30th April 2006.
Canada – Maple leaf tour 29th September 2006
I am pleased to offer
this trip to Canada. Join us on the 'Maple Leaf Trail' to Eastern Canada and
enjoy fantastic scenery and cosmopolitan cities that should be on everyone's
sightseeing list.
Enjoy three nights’
accommodation in both Toronto and Montreal, with time at leisure to explore
these magical cities. And this is only the beginning! A full day in Niagara
Falls will enable you to experience one of the most awe-inspiring natural
wonders in the world. Then there’s Canada’s charming capital, Ottawa, with
its many beautiful sights and friendly atmosphere. Not forgetting Quebec -
North America’s only walled city, overlooking the mighty St. Lawrence River.
Your holiday
itinerary:
Day 1: 05.30hrs leave
HQ to arrive at Manchester for our 09.30hrs light arriving in Toronto at
12:00hr (7.5 hours flight time).
Day 2: Optional City
Sightseeing tour at a cost of £20 per person. Afternoon and evening at your
leisure. Optional Evening Meal at the CN Tower Restaurant at a cost of £37
per person.
Day 3: Full day
excursion to Niagara Falls with and evening meal at the Sheraton hotel where
you can see the falls by night.
Day 4: Depart Hotel
for Montreal stopping enroute in Ottawa.
Day 5: Optional City
Sight seeing tour at a cost of £20 per person. Afternoon at your leisure.
Optional Le Festin Du Gouveneur Dinner show at a cost of £25 per person.
Day 6: An included
full day visit to Quebec City.
Day 7: Depart early
morning for journey back to Toronto with enroute visits before checking in
at the Airport for 19:55hrs return flight to Manchester.
Day 8: Arrival back
at Manchester at 07:45hrs and we should be back at HQ by 12:00hrs.
The cost for this
amazing trip will be £579 per person for members and one guest. Non member
can join us at a cost of £599 per person for all non-members. This includes
return transfer from Headquarters to Manchester Airport, Return flights from
Manchester to Toronto, transfers from Toronto Airport to the Days Hotel
Toronto, 3 nights accommodation in Toronto room only and 3 nights
accommodation in Montreal room only and airport taxes. The single room
supplement for this trip will be £330.
If you are interested
in this trip I would need a deposit of £90.00 per person by 10th March 2006.

non-refundable, in the event of the trip being cancelled by myself your
deposit will be returned.)

Please note: You do
not need to get a special visa if you hold a current British Passport.
However you will be required to fill in an immigration form and some minor
offences my prevent you entering Canada. If you have any doubts please

Come along on our trip to watch Mamma Mia at the Palace Theatre, Manchester.
We will be leaving Headquarters at 5.45pm which will get us to Manchester in
plenty time for our 7.30pm show.
The cost of this trip
is £32.00 per person for members and 1 guest. Non members are welcome to
join us at a cost of £42.00 per person. To reserve your tickets please
return the booking slip along with a deposit of £5 per person (deposits are
non-refundable) and the remainder of the balance by the 1st October 2006.
Please note:- Trips
may be cancelled if we do not get enough interest. Should this happen you
will receive your deposit back
Belgium Christmas Markets - 30 November 2006
I am pleased to offer
this trip to Belgium for our Christmas Market trip for 2006. We will be
staying in Antwerp.
Antwerp, daughter of
the River Scheldt and is the second largest city of Belgium. Antwerp is a
splendid city with numerous architectural highlights, most of which date
from the 16th and the 17th Century. Antwerp is the Diamond centre of the
World. If diamonds really are a girls best friend (which they are!) it’s a
must for the ladies to visit the diamond district around the Railway
Station. Antwerp has also earned a place among the fashion cities of the
world! (Fashion and Diamonds! What more could you ask for!)
The excursion: We
will be leaving Headquarters at 2pm on Thursday 30th November for the
journey to Hull. On board cabin accommodation is in 2 berth Inside cabins
with shower and toilet (no meals are included). On board accommodation will
be for both our inbound and homeward bound journeys. We arrive in Zeebrugge
at 8.15am. We will then have an excursion Bruges Christmas Market for our
lunch. We will be staying at the Plaza Antwerpen Hotel which is 4 star
accredited on a bed and breakfast bases. Saturday there will be excursions
to various Christmas Markets (details to be confirmed) Sunday we check out
and travel via another Belgium Christmas Market then continue our journey to
Zeebrugge. We should arrive at Hull at am, we should be back at Headquarters
at 2pm.
The cost for this
trip will be £165 per person for members and one guest. Non member can join
us at a cost of £185 per person for all non-members. There is a single room
supplement of £60. If you require an outside cabin on the ferry it will be
£15.00 per person extra.
If you are interested
in this trip I would need a deposit of £50.00 per person cheques should be
made payable to HQ Sports and Social Club. (Deposits are non-refundable, in
the event of the trip being cancelled by myself your deposit will be
returned.) The balance of the trip will need to be paid by 21st September
2006.
Christmas Shopping at the Trafford Centre - Friday 8 December 2006
Why drive all the way
to the Trafford Centre Manchester, when you can join our hassle free trip.
We will be leaving
Headquarters at 4pm travelling to the Trafford Centre, Manchester for 5pm.
You will be left to your own devices to spend the time the way you like. We
will be leaving the Trafford Centre at 11pm and should be back at
Headquarters by 12.00pm (at the latest!)
The Trafford Centre
is more than just a shopping centre - it's a world of entertainment. And not
forgetting, of course, the fantastic UCI Cinema -showing the latest films
from arthouse to blockbuster on 20 screens. Then there's the brilliant Namco
Station where you can ride the bumper cars, play the latest in hi-tech video
games or enjoy a spot of ten-pin-bowling.
You will find this
the best way to finish your Christmas shopping. The cost of this trip is
£4.00 per person for members and one guest. Non members are welcome to join
us at a cost of £8.00 per person. A deposit of £1 per person will secure
your place. I will need the full amount before the 1st November 2006.
