Sporting Super Cop

Are you Super Fit? Or could you be by May

Could you be the 'UK Sporting Super Cop'

The Lancashire Constabulary Club are looking to select one male and one female club member to compete in the next Police Sport UK 'Sporting Super Cop' event to be held in May.

The event will test the sporting skills and abilities in a variety of disciplines. Some compulsory and some of choice. Points will be scored in each event to eventually determine the male and female UK 'Sporting Super Cop'.

It is hoped that nearly every police force in the UK will put forward their pre-selected entries to take part in this two day event in May.

The two selected individuals from the Lancashire force will be given funding for travel, meals and accommodation.

Briefly, the disciplines will be as follows:

Compulsory

Running

Netball

Gym

Golf

Choice Events

Darts

Indoor Rowing

Rugby

Archery

Football

Sprinting

Pool

Tennis

More disciplines may be added nearer the time.

Lancashire Constabulary Selection

A selection session will take place on Friday 6 April 2007 (provisional date) in the sports hall at Hutton Hall. The precise start time to be decided. You will be assessed in the following four disciplines:

The assessment will take around two hours depending on numbers entering. The male and female competitor scoring the highest points will be selected to compete in the 'Sporting Super Cop' event held in May. The male and female 'runner-up' will be given a reserve place.
