The Football Club currently manage two teams, the men's and the veteran men.
The men's team participate every Saturday in the West Lancashire Football League and in the PAA National Cup.
The veteran's team participate in the PAA National Veterans Cup, and are currently holders of this trophy. All home games are played at Hutton.

Information
Summer Squash League
The above league starts in May. Play takes place each Thursday evening at 7pm either home at Hutton Hall or away. The Squash Section are looking for new players, irrespective of standard. Coaching will be given.

Sports Personality of the Year 2000
The Annual General Meeting of the County Club took place on Tuesday 27 February 2001. Four nominations for the above award were received: -

All four nominations were of a very high standard but the Club Management Committee voted Inspector Wayne Howard as the worthy recipient of the 2000 award.
The Chief Constable will make a formal presentation in April.

The cut-off for entry to this competition is usually around the 5 (five) handicap mark.

The fixtures involve a cross-country course of between four and six miles. Any standard of runner may compete in this event.

The above event will take place at Hutton Hall on Thursday 8 March 2001 commencing at 1pm.
The following events will be contested: -
Men's singles, doubles and veterans
Ladies singles, doubles and veterans
Mixed doubles and veteran mixed doubles
Veteran men should be 40+ and women 35+ on 1 January 2001.
Successful players will qualify for the PAA nationals to be hosted by the Royal Ulster Constabulary between 20 and 23 April 2001.
Cost per entry will be £4 singles and £2 doubles. Closing date of entry to this eliminator will be 1 March 2001.

Information
Sports Personality of the Year 2000
Nominations are invited for the above award that has been presented annually since 1964.
It is intended to recognise a member of the force, police or support staff who has achieved a particular outstanding sporting performance or performances. It also includes anyone who has given a high degree of dedication, time and commitment to his or her sport. In either case the performance may be during the previous 12 months or over a number of years.
A report giving full details of the nomination should be forwarded to the club secretary, Pc Steven Broadbent, Lancaster Police Station, Northern Division. Details should be received no later than Friday 9 February 2001. An announcement will be made at the club AGM on 27 February 2001.
Annual General Meeting
The Sports & Social Club AGM will take place in the Connolly Room, Police Headquarters main building, Hutton on Tuesday 27 February 2001 at 2.30pm. Any member of the club may attend this meeting. A representative from each of the 25 sports sections and divisional secretaries are asked to attend.
