CYCLING

 

Information

 

North West Coaching – Cottam Sports Arena, Preston

 

Structured cycle training events are being held on the third Saturday of each month (meeting at the arena at 9.45 a.m.) up to March 2002 comprising the following: -

  • two hour ride to cater for all abilities

  • two hour coaching session on various topics including:

  • training techniques

  • nutrition

  • massage

  • Each session costs £5

  • All standards of cyclist welcome and any type of pedal cycle may be utilised for these coaching sessions.

The Football Club currently manage two teams, the men's and the veteran men.

The men's team participate every Saturday in the West Lancashire Football League and in the PAA National Cup.

 

The veteran's team participate in the PAA National Veterans Cup, and are currently holders of this trophy. All home games are played at Hutton.

`Supergames 2001`

 

An inaugural multi-sport event open to all current and retired world services personnel - army, navy, airforce, police, fire, ambulance, prison and customs - was held at Christchurch, New Zealand between 31st March and 8th April 2001.
