Full details of all County Sport and Divisional Club activities and facilities can be found in this comprehensive website. To obtain you free gift(s) you need to navigate into the site to find the appropriate page and then submit your e-mail request. Club 2005 Pocket Diaries Due to a problem with our printers James E. James, we will be unable to distribute 2005 Club diaries until the New Year. As a compromise, we have been able to secure an order with another publisher who will be able to print a ‘fiscal year’ diary in March. The Club apologises for temporary loss of this annual facility and it is hoped that our new publishers will secure publication of a 2006 ‘calendar year diary’, on time, in December next year. There are a limited number of 2005 PSUK pocket diaries being given away free to the first 100 sports and social club members using the new club website. Go to the site to obtain further details. SWIMMING Fixtures PSUK National Swimming and Water-Polo Championships The Police Sport UK national swimming and water polo championships are to be held at Stirling on 5 and 6 March 2005. The competition is open to police officers and police staff, both serving and retired. They also need to be full members of the Club. ACPO Lifesaving Championships The ACPO national lifesaving championships are to take place in Merseyside on 10 to 12 June 2005. These championships are open to police officers only. GOLF Result British Police Team Championships The regional final was played on 3 June 2004 at Thirsk . In the morning we beat North Yorkshire and in the afternoon we beat Cleveland to qualify for the zone final. This will be played on Friday 9 July over Gullane 2, Muirfield, between Lancashire, Tayside, Lothian and Borders and Cumbria. SAILING Result The North British Offshore Sailing Championships The above event took place over five days from Monday 14th June to Friday 18th June 2004. A series of yacht races took place in the Firth of Clyde, over a course of 150 nautical miles. The Club Committee voted unanimously that Inspector Peter Upton - Northern Division should be the recipient of the 2003 award. Inspector Upton has been an active and dedicated sportsman since joining the force in 1979. His main sport in recent years has been squash and he has won a large number of championship titles in regional, national and international police events. Inspector Upton will be formally presented with the Ormerod Trophy at a police award ceremony to be held in May. Full details of his achievements will be available on the force Intranet in due course.
