SPORT & SOCIAL
Event
'The Force Has Got Talent'
The 'County' Sports & Social Club are organising a brand new live competition for all members of the Club to participate. In the next few months individuals or groups will be invited to audition for 'The Force Has Got Talent' grand final contest that will be held in the Ellis theatre at Hutton Hall in February 2008. The idea is based on the recent TV series 'Britain's Got Talent'.
Around 20 acts will be chosen to perform in from of a live audience. Voting will be carried out by a celebrity panel as well as the live audience. The eventual winners and runner's up will receive special top prizes.
So have you or do you know someone at your police station who has got talent? It could be vocal, musical, dancing, acrobatic, stand-up comedy. You may have a talented pet or a completely bizarre party piece that may steal the show!
Individual Acts
Only full members of the Sports and Social Club are eligible to enter as individuals.
Group Acts
If the act includes more than one person then at least 50% of the group may comprise full or honorary members - but the group must always include one 'full' member. The remaining 50% of the group could thus include non-police members.
NB. Honorary members: Spouse, partner, children, retired members - for the purposes of the show honorary members can include pets.
Auditions will take place at Hutton Hall during October and November - Selected acts will go forward to the grand final in February 2008.
The final will take place in the Ellis Theatre at Hutton Hall where we have stage facilities and seating for an audience of around 150. It is hoped to have three VIP/Celebrity judges on a voting panel. A buffet meal and licensed bar is also planned during the evening of entertainment.

The number of prizes will be increased from four to five. This will now include a further £500 third prize.
You will now have a 1 in 105 chance of winning one of five monthly prizes if you have 20 chances taken in the lottery.
The 10p increase has been deemed necessary to keep up with inflation and rising costs of funding police sport activities. The Club would like to thank everyone for supporting police sport activities by subscribing to the lottery. The change will be shown in your April pay slip.
