Northwest Regional Coarse Fishing Competition

The above event took place on Thursday 18 June 2009 at Rosemary Wood Fishery, Southport with the following results:-

Team competition

1st Cheshire Constabulary.

2nd Lancashire Constabulary.

3rd Merseyside Constabulary.

Individual placing

2nd overall - Insp Graeme Fearn - Pennine Division.

A windy cold day greeted the competitors for this annual event. This weather made the fishing difficult. Cheshire lads exacted revenge on last year’s winners which was us the Lancashire Constabulary team. They did it by one point or put another way, by one fish.

Fixture

The next competition is an emergency services event at Cudmore, Staffs on 2 July 2009. Lancashire has entered 2 teams for this event. If anyone is interested in taking part in this event or future events please contact Insp Fearn or Ian Bateson (contact details on this site).
