Facilities and Activities

For the past two years Mr Peter MacQuaker (Northern Communications) has organised outings to the horse racing at Haydock Park, St Helens and the Greyhound racing at Belle Vue, Manchester.

Chester Horse Races - 2006

This years sports and social outing will be held on Sunday 6 August 2006 and a change of venue as this years event will be at Chester races

The date in question is the family fun day and i am pleased to offer a choice of tickets (both including executive coach travel)

1. The fun day package held in the open course which alongside the afternoons racing includes large amounts of free entertainment including fun fair, magicians, clowns, gladiators, bouncy castles, music and lots more.

2. The Tattersalls stand and enclosure. This stand offers panoramic views of the racecourse and has a variety of refreshment facilities over 2 floors and also access if provided to the paddock and parade ring areas of the course

Please note: visitors to the racecourse will only be able to access the enclosure for which they hold a ticket visitors to the Tattersalls stand are not allowed to take  food and drink into the racecourse although picnics etc are more than welcome in the open course.

Pick ups: Carnforth approx 0900hrs then Morecambe, Lancaster, Garstang and Poulton (times to be confirmed)

Belle Vue Dog Races - 2006

This years night at the dogs will be held on Tuesday 7 November 2006 and again we will be going to Belle Vue stadium in Manchester.

The package on offer this year is the top dog package which includes the following:

Admission
Racecard
2 x £3 drinks vouchers
3 bets (2 x £2 win and 1 x £1 jackpot bet)
£5 fast food voucher and
£10 return restaurant voucher (above retail value in excess of £30)

This package is priced as follows (please note that coach travel is included in the following prices)

Full members of sports and social (Northern Division) - £15.00
non members and guests - £20.00
Persons who attended Chester races (guest and members) £12.00  

Usual pick points apply (Morecambe, Lancaster, Garstang, and Poulton)

Note: depart Morecambe 15.45 hrs (full timings to be confirmed)

Please note that this package is not available to persons under 18 years of age

A £5 deposit will secure your place - full payment is required no later than Monday 30 October 2006
