Social Trips to the Races and Belle View Greyhound Races
For the past number of years Mr Peter MacQuaker (Northern Communications) has organised outings to the horse racing at Haydock Park, St Helens and the Greyhound racing at Belle Vue, Manchester.

Horse Races
The trip to the horse racing is held in June or July. In previous years we have been blessed with nice warm weather. What's more, some members come away with a bit more money than they set off with!!!
All feedback has been positive saying what a good day out it was - even those who didn't know what to expect with regards to horse racing!
An excellent social outing for both members and their families alike.
Greyhound Races
The greyhound racing is held in the winter months November or December. There are excellent facilities at Belle Vue and all amenities are indoors so the weather has not proved a problem.
Again, this social trip has proved popular with everyone attending. Due to the late night this is not deemed suitable to families although they are welcome (indeed local families from the area attend on a regular basis)
Well worth a trip.
