DC Roy Sinclair - Main Sporting Field – Swimming, Water Polo and Lifesaving

DC 1904 Roy Sinclair has been a member of the Swimming and Lifesaving team since he joined the Constabulary seventeen years ago.

In lifesaving Roy was an integral member of the Constabulary team that has won three silver medals and four bronze medals at the ACPO National championships.

Roy’s success has come mainly in the swimming arena where he has represented both the Constabulary and the British team.

Internationally

Roy has represented the British Swimming team for the last 15 years.  He has attended 3 European Championships and has competed in three World Police and Fire Games in Sweden, Canada and Barcelona.  From these championships he has assisted the British water polo team to win two gold medals and was a member of the swimming relay team that gained the gold medal on one occasion.  Roy also won the Millennium sprint when representing the British Police.

In addition to participating, Roy has been a member of the PSUK management Committee for Swimming for the last 10 years.  Roy is involved in organising the national Police Sport UK and the British Team annual swimming events.
