The 5 person squash team has again competed in the North West Counties Squash League and will play 26 games in total. At present they are in mid table with a couple of months to go of the season.

Last March Insp Upton again won the PSUK over 45 national title in Edinburgh.

The Lancashire Open Force Tournament, in Jan this year was won by Insp Upton who went on to win the PSUK North West over 45 title.

This years nationals were to be hosted by our region in Carlisle but the recent floods put the courts six feet under water. The nationals have been hurriedly rearranged and will again take place in Edinburgh from 18-21 March.

We have a ladies competing for the first time in many years, Ann Fingleton from Blackburn. There would have been two but for leave commitments.

Our most improved player is Dave Sherrington from Blackburn and our most committed player has been Ray Bell from Morecambe, who has travelled the county at very short notice to fill the gaps when others have been unavailable.
