Volleyball Sports Section
Introduction The Lancashire Constabulary Volleyball Section aims to promote the sport of volleyball and also the enjoyment and camaraderie that the sport engenders in all who play. The Section caters for players of all standards, from the complete novice to the experienced player. Club captain is Sue Harrison, a full Lancashire County player and also English and British Police International. She is also a highly experienced coach and sessions are held at Training School Sports Hall, all are welcome to attend. The sport is a non-contact and anyone who has ever played on holiday and fancies improving is welcome. We enter a Ladies team in the PSUK event and those involved range from the experienced players like Sue Harrison to the inexperienced like Jackie Hirst, whose first taste of competitive volleyball was playing in the National PSUK. Jackie soon adapted and her game improved immeasurably over the weekend, so much so that in the Plate Final she played an invaluable role in helping the side win the Plate trophy. Anyone interested in taking up the sport, or at least giving it a try is asked to ring team Secretary, Andy Edwards on Ext:- 412277. Secretary Contact: DC Michelle Barras
