Course
The course is as in previous years, in Brantingham Thorpe Park,
this is a great course with some nice gradual, long ups and downs and some
great views of the Humber estuary.
The
meeting point is NOT at the Rugby
Club as in previous years. Due to a limit
on funding Humberside are unable to provide changing rooms or post-race food. I
am sure this will not be a big issue and we will have a great afternoon race.
Runners are to meet at the Green Dragon pub in Welton, HU15 1NB
from 12:30 onwards. If you come off the A63 signed Elloughton / Brough /
Welton, and take an immediate right into Welton, the pub is just down the road.
The start of the race is a one mile warm
up/down from the pub, so ensure that you leave enough time on arrival to jog to
the start.
There are toilets available at the pub but no showers. Runners
will be expected to change from their cars.
The pub will be serving food/drink after the race. This will be purchased at our own
cost.
The course itself is through some woods and open farm land and forms part of
the many scenic walks.
Both men and women will compete on the same course, (approx. 1.9 miles per
lap). 3 laps for men, 3 for women.
This is a spike or studs course except for a very short distance on a road
(2 crossing points).
Any spectators please bring your ‘Wellies’…..it’s very muddy at this time!
Facilities
From the Green Dragon Car Park and pub.
Post Race Meal
Food available at the Green Dragon at own cost.
