Sporting 'Supercops'

Could you be the “Police Sport UK Sporting Super Star of 2008”?

Police Sport UK are seeking to find a Super Star in sporting terms, the event will be based on the BBC TV Superstars competition. It is a national competition open to all forces. Police Sport UK is aware that a large number of its members do not participate in traditional team sports such as soccer and cricket but do have a active sporting lifestyle using local gymnasiums to keep fit. It is these members we hope to attract into this concept.

Each force will be invited to enter one male and one female competitor to the National Super cops event to be held over 2 days on the  7th and 8th  of May 2008. Participants will need to arrive at the venue Potters leisure resort, Hopton, near Great Yarmouth on the evening of the 6th of May. Forces with strength over 7,000 will be allowed to enter two participants and the Metropolitan Police service up to four.

It is open to both Police officers and Police staff serving or retired is accordance to the constitution of Police Sport UK

The events that make up ‘Supercops’ are outlined below and will be added to.

An age related bonus points will also be added to participant’s scores.

The rules have been kept very simple so no training will be required only physical fitness.
