Walking is an essential part of my training. Long distance walking builds up stamina essential for successful marathon running. My 2.54 pb marathon on 2 January 2000 was preceded by two consecutive 12 - 15 mile hikes on 31 December and 1 January.
I propose to create a short report on some of my favourite walking trips both past and present. I hope these may be of interest to anyone contemplating a walking trip or holiday at any of these destinations.
