The course is 400 metres away on the other side of the River Eden in Rickerby Park. It will be 3 laps of about 5 to 6 miles on a mainly grass course. There will be one short sharp hill in each lap plus a couple of short stony sections right next to the river. There are two road crossings per lap but only a narrow minor road. Suitable for studs or spikes.

Sheepmount Stadium

The course is an alternative to Rickerby and offers a fairly flat course around the stadium playing fields with a couple of short embankments to encounter. This course has been used as an alternative to Rickerby park when there have been problems with the river level or cattle.

Race registration will be held in the Sands Centre, Carlisle, CA1 1JQ

Directions from south; leave M6 at junction 43 and travel west towards city centre. Pass the football ground on right and then turn right at next set of traffic lights. Drive past the new school on your right and college to left before getting into right hand lane and turn right at traffic lights. Travel down short stretch of dual carriageway to roundabout. Take third exit and into Sands Centre car park. Sorry but its 'pay and display.' Registration and changing can be accessed via main entrance.
