Greater Manchester Police Athletics Section
will be hosting the 2016 PSUK Cross Country Championships.
The main car park is on Park Lane off
Turncroft Lane (A626). The
venue for the event is Woodbank Park, a large municipal park in Stockport
alongside the River Goyt. It is the home of Stockport Harriers and the race HQ
will be sited at the athletics facility.
The Ladies race will be over 7500 metres
(3 laps) commencing at 1300H and the Men’s race over 10,500 metres (4 laps) and
will commence at 1400H.
The course will consist of mainly grass and
woodland tracks with some challenging climbs and descents. The course is
suitable for spiked footwear.
The main car park is on Park Lane off
Turncroft Lane (A626) Stockport (width and height restriction apply (6ft 6ins)
to the main car park. Larger vehicle can park in the Community Centre car park
leading to the main car park.
Teams can also park at Bredbury Hall,
the venue for the presentation, which is a short distance from the park. Please
see separate document for directions (including additional alternative parking)
and maps.
Attached you will find a team entry
sheet. Please complete a separate sheet for the ladies and one for the men. The
race entry fee is £12 per competitor. If you are entering veteran athletes
(Ladies over 35 and men over 40 years on the day of the event) please ensure
that you correctly indicate their age category.
Also attached is a team manager’s entry
sheet which should be completed in full.
Please return your entry by e-mail or by
post to Marion Dixon / Katrina Hughes at the address as shown on the team entry
and managers sheet. As noted on the entry forms, the closing date for entries
is 20/1/15 2015. NO LATE ENTRIES will be accepted so please ensure you
contact either Katrina or Marion if there are any issues with your entries or
payments.
